Today, the grade 4-8 track and field team competed at the 2013 YCDSB meet at York University. Our school team finished in a 5th place overall. Our best event was the standing long jump where all of our competitors placed either first or second place. For those who competed from our class, some note-worthy finishes included: Ryan with a 2nd place finish in his 800m race, Hannah with a 2nd place ribbon for shot-put, and our Intermediate 4x400m relay team who placed 3rd in their event.
Thank you to all our coaches, parents and student volunteers for your help and support today. Congratulations to all of our athletes for their hard work and incredible efforts.

What a wonderful day! We had some great luck with weather Thursday morning as the rain held off until after lunch. After sitting down for a quick bite, we were eager to get back on the rides but had to cope with a light drizzle on our next several rides. Our stomachs were all strong enough over the course of the day to handle the rides. Mr. Corsetti, Ms. Turco and Ms. Lenart had a wonderful day and would like to thank all the students and our wonderful parent volunteer for making the trip such a great success!
